About Peter Boon
I am an experienced English & Drama teacher and published author, with a strong teaching background in FE and Secondary sectors. I currently balance my author work with part-time FE English teaching.15 years teaching experience includes: FE: Head of English/MFL, Head of A Levels, Advanced Practitioner, teaching of A Level English Literature, A Level English Language & Literature, GCSE English, Functional Skills English, EPQ Secondary: Lead English Teacher, teaching of GCSE English, English KS3 and KS4, KS3 Drama, teacher in SEMH school I am also the author of the ‘Edward Crisp Mysteries’ series - my debut novel ‘Who Killed Miss Finch?’ was released in August 2020 and has been the UK’s number 1 Young Adult Kindle book. I am now working on my new series, The Shakespeare Academy, modern young adult novel adaptations of Shakespeare’s stories. I am a keen Shakespeare enthusiast and experienced amateur theatre Director, currently directing two large scale Shakespeare productions a year for Eastbourne Operatic & Dramatic Society (EODS), including Eastbourne’s annual open air Shakespeare production in the Italian Gardens. I am open to part-time or temporary opportunities such as English or Drama teaching, creative writing tutor, communications, author workshops, school author visits and Drama workshop leader.
