The Classic Architecture Company, based in Salisbury, Wiltshire, was established in 1982. We are a small family run, highly skilled and experienced team. Our time is spent ensuring quality through out to meet exceptional standards. We make certain that buildings perform to their highest potential efficiency. My enthusiasm for historic buildings has always been a strong influence on the practice. Even early on, our designs represented careful studies of historic architecture. This permeates through today with inspiring work that blends contemporary and classic traditions with notable success.Over the last 30 years we have grown from strength to strength, and immensely enjoy the design process, working with our clients, heeding their brief and aspirations. This includes considering their personalities, lifestyles, and tastes. The many awards (15) we have received for our designs are due to successful collaborations with, and understanding of, our clients. As well as innovative design for new build projects, we have considerable experience in building conservation and restoration, particularly when connected to the re-use of redundant buildings. Diverse conversion projects ranging from 16th-century barns to a 19th-century school have given us specialist knowledge in a wide range of materials and construction.In 1998 our work restoring a Grade II-listed town house was followed in a TV documentary series ‘Kingsbury Square’. The fourteen half-hour programmes followed the progress of the project under my supervision, covering every aspect of the conservation work.I have been a qualified pilot since 1982 and an air show pilot since 1999. Highly qualified to Advanced Level for aerobatic and formation flying. In 2012 I started an ambition to build an aircraft and in 2017 it was complete and took to the air for the first time.
