July 2010 - Currently employed by Boskalis International as Civil/ Mechanical Inspector on the Gorgon LNG Project at Barrow Island (WA). Project involves the construction of a wharf berthing facility which includes the fabrication and installation of marine structures, concrete, earthworks and piling.Duties consisted of the following:• Reviewing Method Statements and ITP’s• Travel to Batam (Indonesia) , Malaysia and China to inspect fabrication and coatings of large steel components for the wharf berthing facility and monitor and sign off ITP’s.• Painting Inspection: checking preparation of substrate ( blast profile), DFT’s, Holiday testing and environmental conditions.• Some welding inspection Barrow Island:• Supervision and inspection of sub-contractor’s works including drilling/piling operations.• Inspection of concrete works including trial mixes, checking sampling process and testing of cylinders.• Concrete pre-pour Inspections (re-bar , embedded items),etc • Post pour inspections of concrete structures• Grouting operations for caissons and piling• Inspection and testing of Cathodic Protection for piling and concrete structures.• Inspection of earthworks including compaction tests and materials• Bollard installation. Witnessing bolt torque settings and sequence. • Ensuring adherence to Method Statements and ITP’s.• Completing and signing inspection reports • Paint Inspections • Progress reporting
