Currently employed with Greater Manchester Police as a Road Traffic Collision Investigator, investigating collisions from the very minor up to life changing collisions, involving interviews, statement taking and preparing files for the judicial system.Previously as a Radio Communications officer, deploying patrols to incidents from a busy control room. Have worked as a Field Fraud Investigator, Interviewing clients involved in induced, contrived and staged RTC.s. 33 years work experience, both within Production Engineering and recently retired as a Police Officer with Greater Manchester Police in 2011. The last 25 years I served as a Police Officer with Greater Manchester Police, all my service being within an inner city division, resulting in me being able to engage with all members of the community and the diverse cultures that this brings.For the last 15 years with GMP, I served as a Road Policing Officer, both in uniform and plain clothes, working covertly for over 8 years. As a traffic officer, escorting cash transits and the employees of security companies. I attained my Class 1 advanced driving authority recently re-qualifying in October 2010 and also my VIP driving authority, enabling me to drive and command escorts for members of the Royal Family from home and abroad and government ministers when in our region, this also involves the movement of high risk prisoners. To do this I have had to demonstrate excellent communication, leadership, planning and interpersonal skills whilst working under extreme pressure, having the ability to adapt and react to change that may occur. Throughout my service within the Greater Manchester Police i received many commendations and on 2 occasions was a member of the team that received, the best team award from the Chief Constable at the annual GMP awards.I possess a multi-tasking flexible approach to work whilst maintaining composure despite difficult situations within strict tight time constraints.
