CurrentAfter having worked in the commodity industry at the world's leading institutions and experienced ever-changing market conditions for two decades, I recognised the need for a different more dynamic player in the commodities sector. I founded Javelin Global Commodities in June 2015 with a simple aim, to introduce a dynamic market-leading customer-focused approach to commodity trading. While our company is new, our team has worked together for almost two decades and boasts world-class experience and unparalleled market insight.As CEO of Javelin Global Commodities, I'm responsible for the strategic leadership of the organisation. I oversee all day to day high level management, bringing together our diversely skilled team, as well as managing our key client and stakeholder relationships. My core skills lie in risk management and trading, and managing and optimising supply chains. Over the past 20 years, I have gained experience across global commodities markets, working in a leadership capacity for some of the world's leading institutions. Prior to establishing Javelin Global Commodities, I was employed by Goldman Sachs where I held the position of Managing Director and Head of Bulk Commodity Trading.From trading, sales and marketing to risk management across a number of different commodities, my career has given me a broad range of experience. Working in frequently turbulent global market environments, I have always enjoyed the challenge of developing innovative solutions for complex problems.
