Senior Management AccountantClaverham Ltd Jul 2006 - Jan 2009Multiple non-concurrent temporary assignments between the above dates at £50 million turnover design and manufacturing company. Key Duties and AchievementsPrimary role was production of management reporting and analysis for senior management and for its American parent company. This involved both reporting on manufacturing side of business (profitability, stock etc) and project/design side. This entailed liaising with project managers on project cost estimates and reporting issues including estimating accrued revenue to be recognized and work in progress value.Managed and led company budgetary process, coordinating, pulling in and challenging information from all departments and projects. Created salary and overhead models to show impact of differing headcount scenarios on internal hourly recovery rates.Very involved in handover periods between a series of permanent and interim Financial Directors as a 'knowledge base' as the company went through a transition period. Ability to absorb and impart detail of the finance systems very quickly was deemed vital.Involved in Sarbanes Oxley testing and certification in line with US parent company guidelines. -

Produced business reports with commentary and variance analysis. Collated and challenged project budgets and costings for annual and monthly forecasting.

Responsible for day to day and ongoing financial aspects including cash flow and strategic financial planning.Key Duties and AchievementsHelped oversee turnover growth from £2m to £4m as part of the management team and implemented appropriate financial controls.Expanded finance department from existing size of 1 to 2 by recruiting a purchase/sales ledger clerk.Ran a 70 person payroll with all associated reporting and year end returns.Moved reporting cycle from existing standard of 20 days after quarter end to monthly and expanded monthly reporting pack e.g. cash flow projections and updated forecasts.Assisted in establishing an Irish subsidiary company including company registration, VAT registration, bank accounts etc. Introduced regular Work in Progress reporting and controls to ensure minimisation of working capital.
