About Peter Brauch
I am an Artist.I have been active for several years making site specific installations in various locations. This work has been pursued in a low key manner and is known to but a few. I am an Underground Artist, so to speak.With regard to my music background, I am currently hosting a Radio Music Program on WGXC 90.7 Hudson, NY and WGXC.ORG aptly titled 'UNTITLED' on the 2nd Wednesday of every month from 7:00 to 9:30 pm. The show places heavy emphasis on exposing the sound of electronic and rhythm based music from the past and present, as well as being an outlet for my ever expanding music collection.I have been actively involved in one capacity or another with Electronic Music for a long time. It has always been a lifeblood to my creative being. I come at it from a street level background in NYC, having promoted many musicians, record labels and venues.I have been collecting music for longer, and have DJ'ed sporadically at numerous venues during this period, mostly in NYC, with the occasional loft party thrown in the mix. I am however most comfortable at home engaged in my practice among my ridiculous collection of records and outboard gear.As an Art Handler and Installer, I have worked for numerous galleries, institutions and artists in NYC and The Metropolitan Area providing skilled help with fine art installation. This work generally included the mounting of exhibitions at various museums, galleries and venues, as well as installing artwork in private homes. My skill set includes an understanding of painting, carpentry, general contractor information and computer graphics, as well as a comprehensive and educated understanding of Fine Art and how to work with it. I am available on an intermittent basis should the need arise. Thank You for the consideration.
