In my role as an Operations Specialist, I assisted the Terminal Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Newport Terminal. My experience and skill showcase my adaptability and deep understanding of terminal operations.

I managed a 12-member team to ensure uninterrupted 24-hour operations at Newport Terminal, overseeing product receipt, storage, blending, and transfer processes. My leadership emphasised safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement, alongside extensive training for the team.

In my role as Operations Coordinator, I was involved all facets of terminal operations, emphasising the safe, reliable, and efficient delivery of products. Additionally, I contributed as a proactive member of the front line fire crew, further ensuring safety and compliance at the refinery.

As a dedicated Refinery Technician specialising in power plant and utility systems, I oversaw the operational integrity and efficiency of power generation units and associated utilities. My responsibilities included monitoring boilers, turbines, and generators, managing water treatment and distribution systems, and ensuring all operations complied with energy efficiency and environmental standards. I prioritised proactive preventative maintenance and troubleshooting to minimise downtime and uphold continuous production. They are responsible for supplying steam, water and electricity to the United Kingdoms largest industrial park, whose clients include Mars Confectionary, ICI and GlaxoSmithKline.As Assistant Shift Operations Manager I supervised a shift team responsible for operating and maintaining the 100MW combined heat and power station that comprised of a wide variety of plant including conventional boilers, gas turbine / heat recovery boiler, fluidised bed boilers, condensing / back pressure turbines and water treatment plant.

At National Power, a leading company formed during the privatization of the UK's electricity market, I oversaw the operations of a 500MW Coal/Oil-fired generating unit. My duties included managing routine maintenance tasks like changing filters, replacing valves, and clearing blocked lines to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the unit.As Assistant Unit Operator, I served as the first point of contact for coordinating with other departments on maintenance scheduling and outages. This role required effective communication with the national grid to manage correct loading and synchronization times, ensuring optimal operational performance
