James Walker Sealing Products and Services is a division of the privately owned international James Walker Group. It manufactures elastomer, plastic and metallic critical sealing products at sites in the UK and India with global sales of c£150m+/year via a network of service centres and sales companies in c20 countries to a broad range of industrial customers & sectors, from energy and defence to pharmaceutical and transport, using its materials expertise for critical applications. Responsible for leading the divisional finance team and the sustainability theme of the strategic plan within the organisation’s matrix structure.

AIM listed technology company with sales in c60 countries. The group identifies and commercially develops IP to reduce environmental impact and cost. Lead and responsible for all aspects of finance & head office functions, including IT & facilities, reporting directly to the CEO. £10m fund raise in 2013. M&A including acquisition of two water monitoring businesses. Establishment of operations and companies in US, China and Oman.

Responsible for leading finance teams and providing commercial support across a variety of high profile areas during a fast moving & dynamic period, including consumer FP&A, products & revenue, the Virgin Media rebrand and the supply chain transformation project. Promoted from Finance Manager at Telewest Communications on merger with ntl and Virgin Mobile to form Virgin Media in 2006.

Work primarily covered growth of JVs in the Asia Pacific region (Malaysia, Thailand, Hong Kong & Indonesia) & non regulated businesses (Property/Services/Products) in the UK & US.

ACA qualified at Coopers & Lybrand in Audit Practice in 1997 and subsequently one year as an Associate in the Management Consulting Division, working on design and implementation of new accounting systems for two projects i) Government of Pakistan in Islamabad ii) UK Ministry of Defence.
