Prior to establishing Francisco Britton LLP I was a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney in Elkhart County, Indiana, since 2005. My primary responsibilities were drug crimes, working closely with area law enforcement, investigating and prosecuting drug dealing, possession and manufacturing cases. I also assisted the Elkhart County Interdiction and Covert Enforcement Unit (ICE Unit) in the execution of their long-term investigations, which included handling Elkhart County’s civil forfeiture program. Within that role my responsibilities included investigating corrupt business influence (Indiana’s RICO violations) allegations and navigating those complex cases through the judicial system.The last few years of my career as a prosecutor I was assigned to child victim crimes handling hundreds of child battery, child molestation and sexual misconduct with a minor prosecutions.Indiana Supreme Court Opinions – Cases handled at the trial level: Joseph K.
