• Manage the Finance team and responsible for the production and evaluation of monthly financial information for the Hospital (turnover £340m)• Preparation of accompanying commentary and analysis for senior management• Completion and review of the Hospital’s budgets and forecasts• Oversea audit compliance and workforce planning requirements• Complete business cases for future development opportunities• Manage recruitment of finance staff and subsequent staff development and appraisal

• Review monthly operating results, analyse trends and develop plans to improve financial compliance and performance (turnover £340m)• Develop, implement and monitor the financial control system for the Hospital• Review monthly G/L reports and accrual protocol with HODs to ensure accuracy• Review charge activity and establish / improve charging protocol and packages given• Feasibility studies of new services and capital expenditure items• Create positive team environment, encouraging others and ensuring both individual and team goals are met in a timely manner• Build and develop effective relationships with all levels of the business

• Manage the Financial Accounts team and responsible for the production and evaluation of monthly financial information (turnover £1bn)• Preparation of accompanying commentary and analysis for senior management• Review and authorise bank and balance sheet reconciliations• Manage the accounting of new acquisitions within the group• Oversee the management of the Accounts Payable function• Manage the Group’s Treasury matters and report to the Group CFO• Manage the Group’s Fixed Asset and Capital expenditure processes• Completion and review of Small Company PCRGs and budgets

• Maintain tracking system of current status of all internal / external audit recommendations / testing procedures• Manage the implementation of the recommendations• Detailed audit testing of all areas to ensure compliance with US parent company control documentation• Particular attention to SOX controls• Manage the completion of ICQs and ensure finance policies are updated and maintained• Technical accounting support and compliance with Bribery Act requirements including review of the Business Courtesy Log
