I have made my career working in Catholic education and more recently in the areas of pastoral care, counselling and community service. Since 1984 I have been employed by six Catholic secondary schools as a teacher, pastoral carer and counsellor and I have held several positions of leadership and responsibility, including Religious Education Coordinator and Guidance (Year) Coordinator. I have had experience working in public sector community service, being employed by both the Departments of Family and Community Services and Juvenile Justice.Since 2012 I have been employed as a Pastoral Care Practitioner by CatholicCare Diocese of Broken Bay and I am currently based at Gosford Hospital. In December 2014 I was appointed Coordinator Hospital Chaplaincy and Pastoral Care for the Diocese.I consider myself a strong leader who draws upon the gifts and strengths of those with whom I work, and who leads by example. My successful career thus far has confirmed that I have excellent communication, organisation and management skills, and that I possess the ability to relate well to a diverse range of people. I have a personal and professional philosophy of dealing with people respectfully and in building positive relationships.
