My primary responsibilities include sourcing and monitoring investment opportunities across senior secured term loans and unsecured bonds from primary and secondary markets. Day to day work includes (but is not limited to) the creation of detailed investment memorandums with financial modeling of future cash flows, relative value analysis, legal document and term sheet due diligence, and fundamental industry updates. I report directly to multiple portfolio managers.

Sound Point Capital is an industry agnostic credit oriented alternative asset manager. I conducted fundamental credit research across a number of sectors. I evaluated and monitored investments in the term loan, distressed asset and high yield space. Sector coverage includes (but not limited to) oil and gas, energy, metals and mining, chemicals, power, and maritime. I also worked in our London office for almost half a year underwriting loans going into our Euro CLOs.

I prepared financial models and analysis which included leveraged buyout, merger consequence, discounted cash flow, compco (credit and equity), refinancing scenarios and debt pay-down analyses. Materials were shown to numerous corporate and private equity clients. On mandated deals, responsibilities included, writing CIMs, preparing marketing materials (including lenders and roadshow presentations), populating data-rooms and writing memos for internal approval.Covered transportation, chemicals and building product sectors.
