Responsible for Valuation of Commercial, Industrial, Exempt and Special Purpose Properties in Northern Ontario areas. Provide training to staff on valuation including Cost, Market and Income Capitalization approaches to value across 5 Regional Offices. Process control check all aspects of gathering data, updating to various valuation platforms and final values prior to and including approval status. Lead for reviewing Contaminated properties as well as Special Purpose properties related to the Forestry, Mining and Manufacturing Industries in Northern Ontario.Liaise between all levels of Government Officials, Ratepayers and Management to resolve outstanding issues regarding taxation and valuation. Defend valuations at the Assessment Review Board level and beyond if necessary.
