AUTHORI'm a self-published author based in Haxby, York. I write mainly light verse and have several collections published, including my debut collection BIRD'S EYE VIEW which came out originally in March 2020 and was revised in May 2021. This anthology includes all my prize-winning and commended poems from competitions over the past decade, and was featured as one of the recommendations in New Writing North for Autumn 2021.I also have a series of photo-poems called PAUSE AND REWIND. There are now 6 of these published, each relating to a particular location, eg Liverpool, eg York, and the most recent, France. My latest publication (Sept 2024) is NEXUS, a poetic journal from the end of the Victorian era to the present day, exploring the premise that ‘history may repeat itself but nothing is inevitable - individuals can and do make a difference’. In 2023 I published CONNECTIONS, a part poetry/part social history look at various aspects of railways. All available online via Amazon and Waterstones, and at local bookstores from Dornoch to Dorset, Heswall to Hull ! - and many other places, or directly from myself (see my contact details).See also my website www.burg34.com.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FORMER WORKnb Retired from IT work.
