Responsible for fleet operations development across multiple fleet build programmes for UK and ROI (Fleet size: 5300+). Managed the selection and management of suppliers, the end-to-end project management of new initiatives, and delivering continuous improvement and cost savings in fleet operations.• Developed a van specification that met our customers, colleagues and legal requirements whilst constantly seeking opportunities to reduce the environmental impact of our fleet operation. Major developments were made in 2017-18 with a clear focus on safety including: reverse speed limiter, forward facing camera technology and greater off-side vehicle protection. • Managed all aspects of the Tesco.com van build programmes in order to deliver vehicles at the right time, as dictated by growth and replacement schedules. Responsible for a capital expenditure budget of £20m.• Established a new nationwide process for distributing and collecting dotcom trays by engaging with stores, distribution and 3rd party operators. • Managed van cleaning project to ensure that each week 98% of the fleet is cleaned by a 3rd party operator. Tesco operates customer fulfilment delivery and collection points from 350 sites. Responsible for the success in opening 25 new dotcom departments and 50 grocery Click & Collect locations across the UK, which now take sales of £5m per week.• Managed all aspects of the project from feasibility stage to site openings.• Developed the operating model and training framework for the various Click and Collect models.• Partnered commercial department to identify suppliers and costs.• Recommended the design requirements and improvements to the design team and suppliers.
