From apprentice electro-mechanical Engineer to WCP Manager with Crown Cork & Seal (MetalBox), my career was built on learning, improving, adapting and continued learning- I stepped off the corporate ladder in 2004 to join Adroit Services as a bathroom installer- back to the tools!Adroit Services became a Partnership in 2006 which myself and Emma Butt have led since the retirement in 2015 of Emma’s parents- my ‘in-laws’- to continue a family business which has been built on trust and respect.We continue to develop robust processes to improve the consistency of installation quality across our employed installer team and, in every other area of the business to support our steady and sustained growth.We actively seek out new supply partners that share our vision of a ‘customer service comes first’ way of running our business to ensure that we offer our customers the best options for them, not us - in simplest terms, that means we suggest what will meet the clients needs best in a quality solution (and that has a supplier that steps up in the event of an issue).We are looking at ways to develop the business further, whilst maintaining the exemplary service we are known for and, create sustainable growth whilst managing our work/life balance.We engage with LSIP development through Buckinghamshire Business First and are increasing our engagement within our industry to be a part of its development, rather than spectators of it.As an individual, I have been proud to have served as Chairman 2018/19 of Thame & District Round Table (with the privilege of serving as an honorary member of that group in 2023) and as a Trustee of Thame Youth Memorial Trust, I provide skills needed to maintain and update the memorial as needed.
