Peter Brown is Chairman of Grassmere Partners, LLC, a private investment firm that he founded after retiring as Chairman and CEO from AMC Entertainment Inc. Grasmere’s portfolio has included controlled companies in specialty publishing, location-based entertainment, a Special Purpose Acquisition Corporation (SPAC) and over twenty investments in funds and early-stage companies. He currently serves as a director of three public companies: EPR Properties (NYSE: EPR), a real estate investment trust that he founded; Cineverse Corp. (NASDAQ: CNVS), a premier streaming technology and entertainment company and Lumen Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: LUMN), a Fortune 250 communications and technology company.At AMC he successfully led the company through both public and private equity ownership, and several key acquisitions and innovations that transformed it from a closely held, family-run enterprise into a Fortune 1000 company. Before becoming Chairman and CEO, he was Chief Financial Officer. Prior to AMC, Brown worked in private equity in New York City. He began his business career with a commercial bank in Kansas City, Missouri, that is now a part of US Bank.Brown’s business career has spanned several decades and has given him a unique depth and breadth of experience, skills, and knowledge. He has been a commercial banker, an investment banker, a private equity investor, an early-stage investor, a public market investor, a startup entrepreneur, a public company CEO and CFO, a SPAC Sponsor and a private equity backed CEO. He has been involved with public and private companies in all stages of development: startup, growth, mature and restructuring. His industry expertise includes TMET (Telecom, Media, Entertainment, Technology), Consumer, Financial Services and REITS.As a Board Member he has served on 17 boards including seven public companies. He has been Chairman, Lead Independent Director, and Chair of all committees. He is a qualified financial expert.
