Managed a national project implementing competency based wage progression and completion for engineering trades. We had ten pilots located in RTOs in six states, each with a full time project officer. Their role was to design and implement new systems within their organisations that enabled employers to monitor and approve their apprentices’ progress. Approximately 3,500 apprentices were covered by the project. My role was to design and then manage the project, project officers and budget, report to a national steering committee and six state implementation groups, provide written reports to the Commonwealth, publicise the project and present information to other interested stakeholders.
