As a Biology and Chemistry Tutor, I am responsible for tutoring a majority of the courses in Biology offered as well as General Chemistry 1, General Chemistry 2, Organic Chemistry 1, and Organic Chemistry 2 at the University of North Florida.

I was selected to participate in this 2 consecutive semester research program which is sponsored by the University of North Florida in partnership with the Mayo Clinic. At this internship I worked under the direction of Dr. Peter Storz on the development of effective treatments for cancer. Although I had been previously been working with a pancreatic cancer cell line during the Basic Research Internship in Neuroscience and Cancer, I was given a new project where I was responsible for the characterization of an ovarian cancer cell line in the hopes of discovering a treatment to combat ovarian cancer metastasis.
