Carr Jr. Five generations of the Carr family have worked in the Washington, D.C. real estate industry. CCC is closely affiliated with Carr Hospitality, LLC, a privately held Real Estate Investment Advisory and Asset Management Company based in Washington, D.C. Several key assets include the Willard Hotel, the Wharf-Intercontinental, Indigo Hotel Alexandria, and Hilton Garden Inn Alexandria.EXPERIENCE:While at Carr I primarily Supported the development management of 3 hotels under construction: The Wharf Intercontinental, the Indigo Hotel Alexandria, and the Marriott Autograph Hotel Charlottesville.While Managing the OS&E procurement process for the Wharf-Intercontinental (a 278 key hotel development project), I facilitated the resolution of significant OS&E budget inaccuracies and creating a streamlined procurement procedure. The new system better organized processes, opened communication, and led to savings of over $200,000 for the $3.7 million project.I also oversaw monthly reporting for a hospitality portfolio of 5 Assets (1,100 Keys) including the Willard Hotel, Hilton Garden Inn Alexandria, Crowne Plaza Alexandria, and eventually Indigo Hotel Alexandria. During the first couple months of taking on this responsibility I created an automated Excel system using Visual Basic programming, reducing time spent on the generation of the monthly Asset Portfolio Financial Summary by 75% and reducing error rate to 0%.I managed a portion of the Project Improvement Plan (PIP) for the Crown Plaza Alexandria, mitigating expenditures exceeding budget through negotiation of project scope and Operation Supplies & Equipment (OS&E) pricing. Savings amounted to $70,000 relative to a budget of $850,000. -
