About Peter Cavala
I have held leading positions both in the private and public sectors over several periods. I have a keen interest in leadership and development issues and am process-oriented with deeper knowledge in the LEAN philosophy, where the concept of Best Practice plays a central role in my approach. As an individual, I am driven – somewhat of an entrepreneur – with a good ability to prioritize in stressful situations and anticipate what may lie around the corner. I am more of a man of action but also have a deeper analytical aptitude and often try to anticipate future areas of concern as I strive towards my goals. This mindset makes me a flexible person who is constantly ready to reassess my decisions regarding the path to the goal but determined when it comes to what the goal is.As a leader and manager, I have never been afraid to make mistakes – for it is from mistakes that one must learn and ultimately grow. Having a humble attitude and realizing that one does not always know best in all matters is of essential importance. Therefore, I want to surround myself with individuals from whom I can learn and who can complement my areas of development. My colleagues and team members in all my management groups have always had a purpose and a role. This insight into not seeking mirror images is a solid challenge that requires me to do my utmost.Throughout my entire professional life, I have drawn parallels with my athletic career when I was an elite athlete. Constantly seeking improvement, reassessing and experimenting, as well as a significant element of self-discipline, characterize me as a person.
