Roles & projects have included: • Lead PLC/SCADA engineer of a team producing distributed integrated control systems (ICS) on a number of projects, including 4 semi-submersible platforms (9 - 11,000 I/O points on each) covering project planning, system design, implementation, integration, testing, interfacing to third-party systems and commissioning support.• Software coordinator and supervisor for a team of new engineers producing a 4000 point ICS for a drill-ship, including coaching and on-the-job training for new engineers• On-going tools and SCADA development work to extend functionality of existing systems to meet new requirements.Key Technical Skills: ISaGRAF, ICONICS Graphworx32, Wago I/O system, MODBUS, TCP/IP Ethernet networks, Microsoft Office, SQL & VBA applications.Key Personal Skills: Problem diagnosis and solving; System design, configuration and integration testing; Software project and resource management using Microsoft Project; technical team-working; colleague training, support and supervision; Learning new skills and tools on-the-job as required.

• Key Technical knowledge: Visual Basic, C++, COM, MFC, XML and XSLT, Object-Orientated design, SQL, VBA for Microsoft Office.• Experience of the complete software development life-cycle, from requirements capture and specification through to software implementation, testing, release and support. All work undertaken within of ISO9001-compliant quality procedures, including peer-reviews of specifications, design, code and validation testing.
