• I was responsible for managing the sub project when my project manager went on holiday for two weeks. I held daily meetings with contractors to align all parties and resolve any potential problems that could delay scheduled work. I recorded minutes to clearly communicate the progress to my colleague for when he returned. • I planned out of hours factory work for equipment removal and hoarding installation; briefing the site team to approve the arranged control procedures. I supervised the contractors to guarantee all works were completed in the limited time and liaised with Hygiene to clean the working areas for production the following morning.

• I supervised the installation of taller stacking units under a strict completion deadline to ensure the next stage of the project could proceed. I developed a strong rapport with external contractors and the factory production team to minimise disruption and comply to food safety standards.• By analysing process flow in the factory, I developed phasing drawings on AutoCAD for equipment installation and scheduling of future works. These drawings clearly communicated the critical tasks to be completed prior to the delivery of large-scale production equipment.

• I adapted quickly to a new working environment and learnt how to operate CATIA V5 allowing me to work in a team of professional engineers and used their knowledge to help me produce my best work.• GKN trusted me to design new hub adaptors for one of the rigs to test a valued company’s subframes for an upcoming car, as the existing ones were too small. The detailed drawing required a lot of attention to detail especially with regard tolerances as an external company was manufacturing it.• I created a virtual model of the rig room (used for high speed tests) and ensured I was ahead of the ongoing work. Colleagues and suppliers could consult the model and position services and components in the correct place before installing them, which eliminated any errors in the construction of the room.
