I am currently working as the IT Systems Engineering Manager at Laird Performance Materials (a DuPont Business), where my role is to lead a team dedicated to upgrading, supporting, and maintaining the firm’s worldwide server infrastructure, as well as providing 3rd line support for users. I have fiscal responsibility for the entire Systems Engineering budget (a seven-figure sum).This has involved managing the corporate data centre presence globally, handling hardware procurement and software licensing, and planning/executing projects in conjunction with other business units to deliver capabilities needed for their operations. In addition, a large part of my role has involved the integration of IT systems from corporate acquisitions, ensuring that the unique needs of each business unit are accounted for and they can be transitioned smoothly into the overall IT framework.

I chair the core organising committee, with responsibility for overseeing the work of the various event departments, liaising with venues, guests and other third parties, setting overall budgets and keeping track of progress.

I worked at Microsoft’s European headquarters in Dublin during my gap year as a Software Test Engineer/Developer on two projects - the European localisation of Microsoft Office 2003, and "OneNote 2003" for Tablet PC systems.
