About Peter Charest
Call me any time at 203.534.8771...I began a company with my wife called Better Barns, building small modular yard structures early in the 1980's in Bethlehem, Connecticut. It grew increasingly successful as a result of a combination of inspiration and perseverance, with a vow to put the customers first and constantly focus on quality. Better Barns was sold and our attention was redirected to post and beam construction as we saw people being drawn back to classic, simple design. I created an alternative to high-cost and time-consuming construction with unique “T-REX” Connectors, simplifying the construction of post and beam buildings by eliminating the need to cut mortise-and-tenon joints. Connext Post & Beam was begun in 2015 with my daughter, Laurie Sharp, and two years later, our aluminum connectors were patented. These are offered online at http://ctpostandbeam.com, along with custom tooling (also patented) and plans.
