Peter Chow is an international arbitrator and arbitration advocate. He has substantial experience with high stakes, complex international disputes globally, including those related to energy & natural resources, oil & gas, infrastructure & construction, and technology projects, shareholders, private equity investments and other commercial disputes. Prior to practising as an independent arbitrator and counsel, Peter was a partner at King & Spalding (Singapore) and Squire Patton Boggs (Hong Kong). He has held various leadership roles, including head of Asia disputes, global head of Greater China disputes, and head of office, as a partner at various US international law firms.Peter has represented clients in some of the largest arbitrations in Asia, including 5 cases involving multi-billion US dollar claims. He has acted as counsel in numerous arbitration cases, including those involving ICC, HKIAC, SIAC, ICDR, AAA, NAI and UNCITRAL arbitral rules. Peter is a Chartered Arbitrator and on the panels of arbitrators of the major arbitration institutions in a number of countries. He is a contributing author of several authoritative textbooks on arbitration. He has been recognized as a leading practitioner in the field of international arbitration and construction in a number of publications including as a Global Leader in Arbitration by Who's Who Legal, Euromoney Guide to the World's Leading Experts in Commercial Arbitration, Chambers Asia-Pacific and the Legal 500. He has been named by China Business Law Journal in its “A-List”.
