Senior Technical Officer - Product Testing
CurrentSenior Technical Officer with over 15 years exclusive experience in the Standard AS/NZS 4020 - Products for use in contact with drinking water.Responsible for testing a wide range of products including pipes, valves, metering equipment, coating systems (enamels/epoxies), hot water systems (solar, gas, heat pump), storage tank material, mechanical devices such as refrigeration/ice makers/beverage dispensing/water filtration systems and flow control.I have a strong interest in brass products such as flow control valves and tapware with a focus on improving brass alloy formulation and eliminating leaching of lead into drinking water. I have extensive industry experience and knowledge on steering manufacturers towards an economical approach in reducing these incidences.I have an extensive background and interest in taste and odour of water ranging from diagnosing problem prone products/materials to determination of issues in source and treated water supplies. Experience is within troubleshooting and training of panellists in recognition and identification of taste and odours to NATA/ISO certified tests. With over 4000 products and materials tested for both local, national and international clients, I am most interested in assisting clients achieve WaterMark compliance whilst working closely with their certification groups to achieve this.
