A full member of the Executive Committee, requiring a full contribution to all aspects of the running of the organisation.Key achievements during this period:Initiated (with colleagues) the largest change programme in the history of the organisation, covering both transformational and regulatory projects, including GDPR and digital channel deliverables - mortgages and savings product channels.Introduced significant technology improvements in many areas, including data replication to disaster recovery site, internet network resilience, twin-site firewall resilience.Established an effective IT Security function, putting in place a new security framework with new policies, procedures and cyber security measurement framework. This was aligned to the NIST Cyber Security framework.Negotiated substantial IT contracts with a range of 3rd party solutions providers, including network provision, telephony provision, digital portal and core system refresh. Key projects included digital consumer websites (savings and mortgages), customer service enhancements, Wide Area Network changes, core system upgrades, sales solutions and technology refreshes.Responsible for delivering all major IT projects in WBBS in this period. These included:Delivering a complete retail banking core system replacement (£10M+) covering back office and sales functions.Introduction of a Siebel customer management solution into a Contact Centre, delivering substantial customer service improvements.Delivering a customer based sales solutions into 50 Branches, generating a 15% improvement in sales referrals.Also responsible during this period for non IT projects including the purchase of subsidiaries.
