I started my working career in June 1966 as a policeman in SA based in Pietermaritzburg. After 7 years I left and joined Lever's Stock Feeds, then onto LA Braziers, a light engineering and DIY sales office. Three months later, given my police background, I started with Creamline Dairies as Chief Security Officer. later Creamline was taken over by Kumec Dairies and again, I was given 30 days notice Being well connected through the Industrial Security Association, I secured another security position, this time with Rainbow Chickens. This time to Stanger Pulp & Paper which was in the throes of being taken over by Sappi Fine Papers. At this point I was given 30 days notice, yet again. 3 months later I was taken on as a Representative for Old Mutual. This happened in June 81. Then 11 years later in 1992 I gave notice (for a change) and opened my own business as an Assurance Broker under the name of Speedy Morris & Associates. This lasted until 2009 when I implemented a "succession plan", a new legal requirement to ensure clients weren't left without a service contact. I now referred my client base to a Corporate Broker, Warwick Wealth, who has been taking rather good care of my clients. one being that of a Shuttle Service between the Airport and residents mainly living on the Highway West of Durban. With regard to my previous working background, I still consult for Warwick Wealth with persons over age 50 to ensure that their estate is preserved, that their Wills, Bequests and Trusts are up dated in terms of their "last wishes" and that they have sufficient funds to retire with at Warwick Wealth Management, the over 50's specialists.Currently, I am still running the "AIRPORT SHUTTLE" under the name of Speedy's Shuttle Services and can be contacted on +27 82 5744 719.
