'Island of Last Hope' synopsis: Tomac loves his life in the mountainous forests of eastern Poland, working amongst the trees and growing weed fertilised by the wolf pack. Sent to London by his dying grandmother to find the grave of his great grandfather, a pilot in the Battle of Britain, Tomac finds himself in a near future Britain boiling over with race riots and forced repatriations.Tony hates London and escaped its streets, his junkie mother and crazed uncle by joining the army, his only way out. Back on leave from Syria, he finds himself caught up in anti Eastern European street violence. The betrayal of the Poles at the end of WWII looks set to be repeated, as Tomac and Tony’s paths collide.
