I originally trained in medical electronics followed by 7 years servicing analytical instruments with Varian. Joined Labsystems in 1989 to start and manage a new service operation. In the 1990s I attended college part time to obtain degree level management training. Labsystems was acquired by Life Sciences International and then by Thermo Electron. I moved from service management into technical sales in 1999, finally leaving the industry for a while to pursue a business venture in 2007. I returned to the industry in 2008 as service manager for Peak Service. In 2010 was headhunted by PAA originally to work towards driving up quality of installations while at the same time developing structures and marketing aimed at improving customer support and making it profitable. More recently I have opted to become self-employed. I am currently UK agent for Bioscreen and have been involved with small scale robotics. Currently looking for more contract work.Specialties: Scientific instrument specialist, service, sales and product support, service management
