Key responsibilities:• Implemented new ways of working and a new team structure to deliver improved focus and results for the department and site, including the reduction of production time lost to waiting for materials.• Worked with external consultants to help develop the Reckitt Production System for the Planning function which will be used as the global template for all sites. The structure and processes were built off the foundations of the work carried out as the Hull Planning Manager and as Global Project Manager.• Developed and introduced line specific planning golden rules to enable the planners to create production plans that are optimally sequenced for maximising volume whilst still meeting the market requirements.• Introduced best practice approach to report and process development, using my network within Reckitt to use established methods elsewhere and improve to fit the requirements of Hull.• Worked with the team to review line performance versus SAP and identify where the SAP data was significantly out of alignment with performance to ensure production plans are reflective of reality. I moved to this role to support the Planning team following the sudden departure of a planner. • The initial role was as a Vendor Scheduler with the remit to support the main Strepsils planner with materials ordering and sequencing. • This changed quickly to take over the MPS role for Mucinex, where I was responsible for planning the manufacturing and packing of the Mucinex SKUs.
