I now live in Featherston, South Wairarapa. I have been working and living here for the last 25 years after leaving the great city of Wellington, where I spent 10 years working on multi story construction for Fletchers, the first of those 4 years was completing my carpentry apprenticeship. Then in 1992 I suffered a severe spinal cord injury, after leaving hospital I purchased a small vacant half acre block in Featherston.Since moving to Featherston and relocating a small house to my property, 'setting up a home', I have been involved in smaller scale building work, even buying and renovating another house to fund a medium sized workshop at my property, since then I set up a small scale cabinet making business, a picture framing business, pretty much several attempts at starting and running a successful business.I've tried everything, mostly all, well all building related work until I founded my first successful business 5 years ago forming - Wairarapa Gates,. I have spent the last 5 years working on the business, we now are making and installing 'with a small crew' many custom made gates of all shapes and sizes, gate automation, gate repair and maintenance, concrete paths, nibs, everything gate and entrance related we can now preform, no job is too big.
