Reporting into the Group COO, Peter is the CIO for the Business & Commercial Bank (BCB). Within this role, he is accountable for a team of Technical Platform Leads across Client Servicing and Engagement, Cash Management, Merchant and Working Capital, Client Data and Analytics; and Commercial Lending. Acting as a key member of both GCOO and Business Unit Executive teams, Peter is accountable for the technology investment priorities and strategic roadmap that delivers great customer and business outcomes, whilst achieving the overall Group Technology strategy.

In February 2018, we set out the next phase of transformation at Lloyds Banking Group. This brought together Group IT, Business Change and Digital divisions to create Group Transformation with the remit to partner with the business divisions to build the Bank of the Future. Organised around integrated delivery structures (Value Streams) with multi-disciplined teams responsible for business change and IT services to enable delivery of the Group strategy. I lead the Consumer Servicing Value Stream with eleven Customer Journey Labs supported by over 1000 engineers. We’re investing over £200m on digitising our multi-channel customer journeys, simplifying and automating every-day banking to allow colleagues to focus on supporting customers’ complex needs, when they need us most. With accountability for Change, Run and Technology strategy within the Value Stream, we’re introducing innovative, data led technology with world class engineering practices to create highly productive cross functional Agile teams, empowered to deliver high quality outcomes.

Retail IT Director, with accountability for Live Production Service, Change Delivery and Strategy of the IT systems that support Current Accounts, Savings, Mortgages and Specialist Brands. Managing budgets in excess of £100m, with c500 FTE across the UK and offshore centres. Driving transformation of LBG Core Banking to adopt Agile delivery methods and leverage tools to automate change and run services.

Chief of Staff Personal & Corporate Bank Chief Operating Officer (2014 - present)PCB was created following the merger of UK Retail & Business Bank, Wealth and Corporate divisions. Chief of Staff to the PCB Chief Operating Officer (COO), accountable for Operations & Technology, managing a cost base of £2.5bn with 15k Operations & IT staff. Chief of Staff has specific accountability for defining the PCB Operations & Technology strategy, driving the Transformation Programme to implement operational efficiencies; Business Management activities including cost and resource management plus colleague engagement.Head of Run the Bank, for UK & Europe Retail & Business Bank (2013 - 2014)Accountable for all live services with a cost base of over £250m. Defined and implemented a new Strategic Operating Model to drive greater ownership of end-to-end live service for UK & Europe RBB. Live incidents reduced from 67k to <45k in 6 months, Improved transparency of ‘Control’ effectiveness, services defined in the context of ‘Customer journeys’ to promote improved business continuity and service resilience. Initiated a programme to reduce contractor spend (costs down over 40%) and drive Infrastructure simplification realising cost savings across multiple platforms / technologies.Senior Technology Partner for UK RBB Products & Segments (2011 - 2013)Accountable for Change, Run and Technology for Personal, Business Banking and Premier customer segments, across core banking products, current accounts, savings, ISAs and Bonds. Key achievements defining and implementing the innovative Online Bank Features Store capability; driving Current Account product changes for Business customers and the overhaul of the Retail Bank Overdraft proposition.
