National Development Manger since 2005, Reclink Australia Founder 1990, President 1992-2005, Member of the Order of Australia 2000, Centenary Medal 2003, Who’s Who (2001).Peter originally trained for the Catholic priesthood and then worked with the homeless and disadvantaged for fifteen years at the Sacred Heart Mission in St Kilda. While there Peter founded the Sacred Heart Mission sports and recreation program, the Mission’s football team and the Dine with the Champions fundraiser and is well known as Australia’s Sporting Evangelist. After 12 years as a volunteer and President of Reclink, Peter took on the role of National Development Manager in 2005 and has responsibility for the development of the national network. Peter has three children Olivia, Samuel and Lucinda and is well supported in his Reclink activities by his wife Jeanette. He has received numerous awards including the Sports Chaplaincy Australia Award for Compassion in Sport (2011) the Sri Chinmoy Torch Bearer Award (2008) Sports Star of the Year (Southern Region Services to Sport - 2001) and the Tattersall’s Award for Enterprise and Achievement (1997).He has also co written four books - Voices of the Street, Coach, Tails of the Inner Sanctum and Olympic Spirit.
