As Director at Iron Shoring Inc., I oversee the planning, execution, and completion of construction projects. Key responsibilities include managing budgets, timelines, and project scopes; ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements; and leading project teams ensuring safety and quality standards are met. Effectively coordinate with other departments, stakeholders, and contractors. As a Director with two(2) decades of various industry experience in the construction sector, my goal is to always strive for success by adding value to a team through personal development, hands-on experience, listening and learning from mentors, observation, and humility.Work within the engineering industry and my education have vastly contributed to my professional development and passion towards construction engineering work. I gained many practical skills through industry experience and was directly involved with the inspection of mining equipment; this included conveyor belts and various crushers. Other responsibilities included gaining intimate knowledge of quality control and quality assurance measures for aggregates. In another role, I traveled to northern Ontario for geotechnical investigations and to monitor the progress of our borehole drilling operations. During my time as a site supervisor, I liaised with General Contractors to optimize scheduling and costing of our scope of work.My education has complemented and expanded my skills, both in a technical and practical sense; skills such as risk management using operations research, construction management, which included scheduling and estimating, and how to effectively research, interpret, and present information in any given area of study. These experiences have solidified my passion towards engineering field work and a life-long commitment to learning.
