CurrentAs the Power Stations Design Leader - Structural I lead and facilitate the activities and processes of the Station Structural Design Team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality design resources for planned construction projects. My responsibilities include:- Leading and managing the Station Structural Design Team, including Station Designers, Design Support Specialists, and Department Specialists.- Coordinating design resource assignments with Project Management to meet planned and emergency work requirements.- Establishing and recommending training requirements for team members.- Managing the quality of work performed by the design team and conducting personnel reviews.- Promoting a safety culture and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.- Administering Capital and O&M budgets.- Providing technical guidance for unique design projects.- Developing and maintaining station standards, design practices, and construction specifications.- Preparing reports for key stakeholders and regulatory agencies.- Resolving problems and evaluating changes to ensure accurate and efficient implementation.- Managing and enforcing the design portions of the Stations Project Process.- Overseeing the contractor design and engineering process.- Initiating action to resolve problems and ensuring timely implementation of changes.- Establishing proper interpretation, adoption, and application of laws, rules, and regulations as they apply to Stations.- Participating in the advancement of station systems design, including the deployment of new technology and process improvements.- Promoting cooperation and a team environment between Station Design, Station Construction, Project Management, Station SPC, and Station Apparatus.I'm excited about contributing to the advancement of station systems design, planning, and construction in the vibrant high-growth Pacific Northwest.
