Lead global external communications, including public relations and crisis communications, for $10.2 billion business that develops a wide range of technology, materials and advanced control systems for an array of global industries. Also led internal communications for the division from 2011 to 2014.. • As leader of PR Center of Excellence, manage team of 10 including direct and indirect reports, and selected and manage agencies in the U.S., China, Europe, Middle East, India and Russia with a total agency spend exceeding $1.5 million.• Driving adoption of more digital communications strategies for the division, including the use of rich visual content to meet changing media landscape and social media.• Counsel and create messaging and materials for senior leaders, including the company's Vice Chairman.• Create messaging and materials for investor/analyst presentations, including for Honeywell’s annual Investor Day and separate analyst meetings focused on the division’s businesses. • Executed media campaigns for technologies ranging from biofuel production to non-explosive fertilizer, resulting in multiple major media placements including CNBC, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, Reuters and Bloomberg News. • Developed media strategy and served as spokesperson for two lockouts of union workers at a nuclear conversion facility, one of which spanned 13 months. Effectively communicated the company’s position with local media as well as The New York Times and Bloomberg News. Recognized repeatedly by leadership for enabling the company to execute its labor strategy, including the highest level of individual and team awards. • Established crisis communications protocols for the division and trained key leaders, managers and other staff. Led communications for four separate employee deaths, two nuclear gas leaks, three multimillion-dollar settlements with the U.S. government, and other chemical leaks and transportation incidents.
