Patient Concierge ( Procedural Services)
The role of Patient Concierge for the Procedural Services has many duties and responsibilities. The role of Patient Concierge ( Procedural Services) is unpredictable, fast-paced, involves attention to detail, multi-tasking, quick problem-solving skills, ability to work well both; independently and as a team. The Patient Concierge ( Procedural Services) calls for consistent and efficient professionalism in the hospital setting at all times.The position involves acting as a point of service staff member to procedure patients, visitors, and hospital staff. The Patient Concierge for the Procedural Services checks-in patients for their procedure appointment and services; which notifies the Procedural Services registration team that the patient is present and ready for the registration team. The registration team can review, update, and complete the patient's medical account record once the Patient Concierge checks-in the patient for the appointment.When a patient arrives at the Procedural Services front desk; the patient is greeted and assisted first by a patient concierge. The Patient Concierge finds and checks in the patient on the computer. During that sequence; the Patient Concierge retrieves the appointment paperwork for the patient. Once that happens; the Patient Concierge directs the patient to an available seat in the waiting area and a staff member of the Procedural Services' Registrars is notified to complete the patient's registration.Waiting Area & Visitors:The Patient Concierge ( Procedural Services) maintains a clean, safe, and professional waiting area for all patients and visitors at all times. The procedural waiting area is primarily where family, friends, loved ones of procedural patients can wait; while staying informed of their patient's procedural status. A visitor/ emergency contact card is filled out by the Patient Concierge when a patient checks-in and the visitor/emergency contact is notified of any patient status updates.
