About Peter Di Salvo

Peter Anthoni Di Salvo is a professional goaltending coach at MEGA Goaltending in Hudson, Wisconsin. Prior to MEGA he is a former professional hockey player (Goaltender). Some of his accomplishments in his playing career are: The record holder in the Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL) for most wins at 111. He was invited and participated at the St. Louis Blues Rookie Camp/Tournament two consecutive years (2009 and 2010). Peter began his professional hockey career with the Pensacola Ice Flyers of the SPHL and winning the SPHL Presidents Cup Championship. Following his championship, the following season he was named to the SPHL All Star team and was runner up for SPHL Goalie of the Year. In 2018 he was named to the SPHL Northern All Star Team. Prior to his professional hockey career, Peter played at Acadia University as the starting goaltender in the 2011-2013 season, and prior to that he played in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) for 5 seasons. He started his OHL career with the Sarnia Sting, playing alongside Tampa Bay's Steven Stamkos. Early in his OHL career, he was traded to the Barrie Colts where he spent most of his OHL career. There, he played alongside Kyle Clifford of the Toronto Maple Leafs, Alex Pietrangelo of the Vegas Golden Knights, and T.J. Brody of the Toronto Maple Leafs. To finish his OHL career he was traded to the Oshawa Generals where he played alongside Scott Laughton of the Philadelphia Flyers and Scott Sabourin of the Ottawa Senators. Throughout his entire playing career he trained and worked for New York Islanders Head Goalie Coach Piero Greco for 16 years and Head Goalie of the Sarnia Sting, Franky Palazzese for 4 years. Under both of them, Peter developed both his play and coaching abilities. As the game of hockey did and still does evolve, through Piero and Franky, Peter learned the skills to be both a better goalie and goalie coach. Today he is the Director of Goaltending and Lead Instructor for MEGA Goaltending at the Hudson Wisconsin location.
