The Modernisation of some of the oldest sections of the Underground network across 4 Rail lines (ca. 40% of the Underground’s traffic with around 1 million passenger journeys each day), five complex rail junctions, 113 stations and 191 trains, interfacing the system with 4 depots, six sidings (two of them major), and the integration and presentation of existing CCTV and PA systems with a central control centre. including 5 complex rail junctions, 113 stations and 5 depots (order value of £800M).Accountable for project team to bring 35% of the sections into revenue service of the 4LM railway to a CBTC system.

My role as lead PM was to deliver to contract and expectations, manage the project lifecycle, improving customer satisfaction and be point of contact for customer matters. Responsibilities included implementation of project variations, claims, complaints and prioritising resources as well as ensuring project success achieved through setting up the right team, applying lessons learnt, project governance and controls. Key Achievements:- Replacement of obsolescent legacy transmission network on the Central and Jubilee Line;- Implementation of a new Connect Service Delivery Hub at Hammersmith Control Centre;- Mobilisation of the circa 40 strong project with common goal to ensure project deliverables where delivered;- Maintaining and managing client’s expectations, uncovering latent requirements in non-contracted areas such as comms, training, benefit realisation & process mapping to support overall deliveryProject Background: The new Connect radio and transmission system was rolled out across all lines, depots and sidings on the London Underground network. The new radio system comprises of 12,000 users, using 7,500 hand portable radios and 1,400 train radios located in drivers cabs at both ends of the 700-strong LU train fleet. The transmission system consists of 11 core sites across the LU network which act as hubs for the radio system and 1450km of optical fibre and conventional cabling
