Accountable for the day-to-day supervision and organisation of field staff, whilst delivering LV and HV work programs for a large client portfolio. Ensuring that site works for shutdowns, maintenance and commissioning are delivered efficiently, with health and safety at the forefront of everything.

Responsible for leading and developing the field services team of HV technicians and Engineers. Delivering projects in a number of disciplines including HV construction, maintenance, testing, protection relay testing and commissioning for a wide variety of clients across Australia.

Tasked to undertake the delivery of LV & HV fault restoration and repair, plant maintenance, construction, and voltage complaints up to 11kV. Actively involved in the refurbishment of substation plant, commissioning, and de-commissioning of distribution substations, HV cable overlays and HV overhead line rebuilds. As a senior authorised person, I was responsible for writing, checking and approving HV switching programmes, conducting HV switching, project managing a wide variety of LV and HV projects from handover to completion, including on site management of all safety documentation, craftspeople and contractors.

As an outage planning / Control Engineer I was responsible for managing all outages on the electricity distribution network for the North West of England, up to and including 132kV. My key focus was to optimise the security and quality of supply to our customers. It was my responsibility to ensure that the service level delivered by Electricity North West Ltd, in respect to fault restoration performance, was achieved by prioritising repairs and restoration of faults on both the EHV and HV systems. I held a Senior Authorised Person (SAP) authorisation certificate for Electricity North Wests 6.6/11kV network as a Control Engineer. Both roles required a keen eye for detail, a focused mind and the ability to instantly adapt to different working environments and pressures.

The principle purpose of my role as a dispatcher was to effectively dispatch and monitor faults on the North West electricity distribution system, working a 24/7 shift pattern. In conjunction with this I completed real time regulatory reports in line with agreed service levels and targets.
