My professional and academic journey reflects a deep commitment to design, innovation, and meaningful engagement. It all began with Boothby, a furniture studio I founded in Portland, Maine. This venture allowed me to explore my artistic side while gaining invaluable experience in sales, management, and, most importantly, client relations. It was here that I learned the profound joy of turning client visions into tangible realities, setting the stage for my future endeavors.The next chapter took me to the University of Notre Dame, where I pursued a master's degree in Industrial Design, enriching my education with a minor in Film, Television, and Theatre. During this transformative time, I not only advanced my academic knowledge but also embraced the role of Instructor of Record. Teaching furniture design, I shared my passion for craft, digital manufacturing, and material exploration, all while fostering creative confidence in my students against the backdrop of historical significance.Amid my studies, I founded Intrvene, a venture dedicated to supporting the addiction recovery community. This initiative demonstrated my commitment to leveraging design and technology for social good, using a hybrid hardware/SaaS model to employ biometric data in aid of recovery journeys.After completing my graduate studies, I joined the Atlantic Salmon Federation in St. Andrews, NB, as a Marketing Manager. In this role, I'm crafting a youth engagement strategy to widen and diversify our membership base. My work spans from copywriting and video content production to creative direction and marketing analytics, offering me a unique opportunity to apply my diverse skill set towards environmental conservation.From founding Boothby to my academic and teaching roles at Notre Dame, and through to my ongoing efforts with the Atlantic Salmon Federation, my journey has been driven by a passion to innovate, educate, and inspire. Each experience has enriched my understanding and application of design, ultimately shaping my approach to making a tangible impact on the world.
