Investissement Québec was H2O Innovation’s major shareholder and he served as their representative on H2O Innovation’s board from 2014 to 2017 during a time of continued growth of the company and the addition of a new business pillar operating water treatment facilities to its former two-pillar business of designing and building water treatment systems and supplying chemicals and equipment to the sector. He was also a member of H2O Innovation's Corporate Governance, Remuneration and Risks Committee.

Progressing to the position of President and Chief Executive Officer in 2013 from Chief Operating Officer (2008 to 2011) and President and Chief Operating Officer (2011 to 2013), he directed, implemented and was accountable for all aspects of the company’s business in a challenging business and socio-political environment with complex levels of multiple stakeholders that included the company’s board of directors, shareholders, investors, partners, employees, service providers, regulators, governments, the public, Indigenous communities, and the media. Responsible for the management of the company’s operations and member of the it’s Board of Directors, Peter planned and executed all of the company’s work maximizing effectiveness and profitability to achieve the company’s goals. Hydro-Québec’s oil and gas exploration division, Hydro-Québec Pétrole et gaz, was created in 2002 with an initial budget of $330 million for 2002 to 2010 to explore the offshore Gulf of St. Lawrence and onshore eastern Quebec. Peter was in charge of Hydro-Quebec's oil & gas exploration operations including planning, managing and executing its exploration program. During this time, a number of collaborative partnerships were established and major exploration campaigns were completed.

Perpetual Energy generated oil and gas drilling projects in Western Canada which were marketed to companies as partners in and/or purchasers thereof. Consulting services and expertise were also provided to clients pertaining to their worldwide exploration and production needs.• Sizeable natural gas prospects/projects generated Alberta, Canada.• Oil exploration expertise and services provided to a client for two large concessions in Cuba.• Evaluation and reserve estimation for a client on a giant oilfield near the Gulf of Suez in Egypt.• Exploration, wellsite supervision and other services provided to 10 companies on 25 projects for 37 new wells.

Scimitar Hydrocarbons was an international petroleum company focused on monetizing discovered reserve opportunities in Egypt, Mozambique, Ajman UAE, Canada, and Kenya.Peter performed International oil & gas exploration, development, & production in Egypt and elsewhere in Africa. In this role, he was responsible for all geological & geophysical aspects of these activities, including management, planning, defining strategy, negotiating, deal making, joint venturing and the identification & pursuit of profitable opportunities.
