I am an experienced police officer with excellent investigative and man management skills. I have managed police units and police stations and led teams of up to 50 police officers and public servants. I have been an investigator for over 25 years and have specialised in Arson investigations, Sexual assault investigations, Child abuse investigations and Human Source (informer) management.I have managed major fraud investigations. I am conversant and compliant with OH & S requirements, welfare support, rostering, and have a wealth of knowledge regarding investigations, operations and people management. I have developed a high level of emotional intelligence and a proven ability to work in a team or autonomously. I have expertise in proactive & reactive investigations and have developed a high level of written and oral communication skills and a proven ability to manage high case loads and stressful situations. I have worked 24/7 shift work since 1985, so shift work, long hours is not an issue.

  I work as a detective sergeant at a busy criminal investigation unit. My unit investigates aggravated burglaries, car-jackings, burglaries, theft of motor car, serious assaults, deceptions, arsons and further criminal offences. I manage these investigations and my team of investigators. As the most experienced sergeant I am often required to perform the duties of the officer in charge of this unit - with over 30 personnel. This requires internal & external stakeholder engagement. OH & S compliance. Monthly reporting. People management. High level of written & oral communication skills. Conducting and managing proactive and reactive investigations. Often working in a team environment or by my self as the officer in charge.
