My responsibilities include :•Setting up systems for advocacy and health programs targeting churches, the youth, pregnant mothers and babies, home based care clients, former traditional midwives, religious and community leaders, prison inmates, clients with chronic illnesses, artisanal miners, HIV positive and persons living with disabilities and the general population.•Leading a team of officers to effectively work with communities, key line ministries and various stakeholders on social service responses.(education, health, WASH, food security)•Identifying performance gaps and providing technical guidance and support.•Motivating staff and ensuring that issues of accountability, transparency, compliance and integrity are met.•Networking, strategic planning, resource mobilizing, proposal development, budgeting, monitoring and evaluation (MEL) and conforming to international standards and country guidelines.

•Mobilizing communities for EFS project thrust using PRA and SPHERE principles and conducting ward assembly meetings via government ministries and local governance structures.•Revisiting Community Based Plans and drawing up livelihood activities on water, sanitation, education, public health and HIV and AIDS, irrigation and solar energy projects and engaging local governance structures targeting the key community groups.•Capacity development on project management, public health, leadership, advocacy, gender, campaign messages, agronomic practices, marketing and project sustainability.•Registrations, verifications, material design, documentation, monitoring and evaluating project activities using LIME and MSC approaches.

•Setting up systems for an Emergency Food Security Program, Community Home Based Care and School supplementary Feeding Program for the province•Leading personnel on the implementation of interventions using PRA tools, Sphere, participatory approaches and RBA.•Feeding communities, schools and targeted beneficiaries according to agreed ration scales and policies.•Monitoring and Evaluating interventions against the international minimum standards and compiling program reports.. Resource mobilization and establishing partnerships.

Advocating for the rights of children at district, provincial and national levels.•Setting up systems for the OVC National Action Plan role out program at school, district and provincial levels in Bulawayo, Mat North and Mat South.•Capacitating communities, children with disabilities and support systems around them.•Monitoring and evaluating OVC interventions using the national M and E System

•Supporting and facilitating the development and management of District AIDS Action Committees, sub-district structures, stakeholders and independent entities.•Recruiting, inducting, staff developing, training, material designing, supervising and appraising provincial and district staff responsible for HIV/AIDS prevention, CHBC, Mitigation, Care and Support•Supporting and strengthening ward and village AIDS action communities.•Coordinating non- governmental organizations and community based organizations on all HIV and AIDS activities at district level including SRH, Care Support and treatment•Training and monitoring front line workers/volunteers, middle and top managers on HIV and AIDS interventions-Prevention, Care and Treatment, CHBC and Mitigation

•Identifying, advocating and providing appropriate technical support and mitigatory interventions to communities, schools and districts for in and out of school orphans and vulnerable children with special needs.•Conducting research, documenting good practices and sharing results with stakeholders..Following up on placements and assisting teachers on how best to manage individual cases.
