As Senior Vice President and Associate General Counsel for WarnerMedia, Mr. Duitsman led several teams supporting HBO Max, TBS, TNT and truTV, including the Legal Affairs teams responsible for the acquisition of third party content, including all third party films, television programs and series; the Legal Affairs team responsible for supporting the development and production of original unscripted content, documentaries and specials; the team responsible for ensuring content compliance with industry and network policies, practices and ratings; and the team responsible for rights management with respect to the multi-platform distribution of all content aquired and/or produced by or on behalf of HBO Max, TBS, TNT, truTV, Cartoon Network, Boomerang, Adult Swim and other affiliated networks and platforms. In this position, Mr. Duitsman was responsible for collaborating with key stakeholders across the organization to leverage company assets, evaluate and mitigate risk in connection with corporate initiatives, align resources with corporate priorities, and develop and implement negotiation strategies. Mr. Duitsman also helped manage claims and litigation, as well as internal investigations, working closely with internal resources and outside counsel, as will as corporate communications, risk management and other stakeholders to develop and implement strategies.

Co-instructed upper-level law school course focused on intellectual property, privacy, rights of publicity, contract law and other personal and property rights, as applied to the entertainment industry. The course also explored the opportunities and challenges presented by evolving technologies and new media platforms in the entertainment industry.

As Vice President and Associate General Counsel for Turner Broadcasting, Pete Duitsman leads a team of attorneys, managers and support staff responsible for legal affairs for a broad range of corporate clients, overseeing the negotiation and drafting of agreements pertaining to a wide range of corporate needs and managing legal affairs with respect to the production, clearance and multi-platform distribution of hundreds of hours of programming annually.

Oversee legal affairs related to the development, production, acquisition and distribution of content for Turner's live action entertainment networks, leading a team that handles legal matters for truTV, Turner Classic Movies, Turner Studios and the Sponsor Shop.

Provide corporate legal support for clients including Turner Classic Movies, Turner South and Turner Trade Group

As an associate at Troutman Sanders, Mr. Duitsman represented corporate clients in various industries, in complex civil litigation, including intellectual property disputes, contract disputes and product liability and other tort claims. Mr. Duitsman's practice focused on clients in the sports and entertainment, pharmaceutical and consumer finance industries. In addition, he represented commercial property owners/managers in lease disputes with commercial tenants. As part of his practice, Mr. Duitsman focused on educating clients on how to implement practices to limit risks of litigation and liability.
