I am a very experienced Corporate & Finance Manager who specialises in running commercial operations. During my career I have operated in the Local Goverment sector, and am now working in the Defence contracting sector.I have succesfully led & managed a staff of over 180 over the past 10 years, and I am very experienced in dealing with a wide variety of professions, from accountants to lawyers, engineers, planners, HR & IT professionals and skilled tradespersons.I have extensive experience in contract management, having negotiated contracts for major Capital Works, management of facilities, computer software purchase & installation, banking services, external audit and major plant purchases.I have written major policy documents, created strategic planning & reporting protocols while engaging a wide variety of stakeholders in the process of completing this work.I have managed major customer services interfaces to ensure the services that were provided met the expectations of the customer, and created a feedback loop so continuous improvement could be achieved.I have provided professional advice at Board level direct to the Elected Council on policy & strategic direction on a weekly basis. I have written submissions and made representations direct to other levels of government to achieve the outcomes required by my employer.I have operated as the Chief Financial Officer of the Council, and put together a $300 million Annual Budget, provided Quarterly Reviews of the Budget and report actual financial performance through the compilation of Annual Financial Statements.I was responsible for the Council's overall financial strategy and prepared its Resourcing Strategy, which included a Long Term Financial Plan.I was on the Board of Horizon Bank for 10 years and the Shoalhaven Rugby Football Club Inc for 20 years.
