• Control of staffing levels in line with workload fluctuations and ensure that your team achieves contract service levels and performance requirements.• Control the utilisation of team resources (vehicles, tools, telephones, uniforms etc) and ensure their operational efficiency and optimum usage.• Liaising with Operations Support with regards to work issues, ensuring work allocation reflects staffing levels and productive potential within the team.• Responsibility for recruitment/placement of permanent or temporary staff and their performance and development.• First line of authority in respect of grievance and disciplinary matters with authority to issue up to written warning.• Communicating with their team on a formal and informal basis ensuring two-way dialogue and understanding of Company requirements and feeding back any issues or problems to the next level of management.• Dealing with and resolving where possible, local issues involving staff and first line complaints or issues raised by consumers or (customers), referring any higher level issues to the next level of management.• Understanding and implementing the requirements of the relevant technical/regulatory/legal frameworks of relevant activities and ensuring these requirements are implemented.
